SEMA Rescues 719 Borno Flood Victims, Provides Relief Materials

The Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has rescued 719 victims affected by the recent flood disaster in the state. The agency, in collaboration with other stakeholders, has been working tirelessly to provide relief materials and support to those affected by the devastating flood.

The flood, which occurred last week, affected several communities in Borno State, leaving many people homeless and without access to basic necessities. SEMA quickly sprang into action, deploying teams to affected areas to assess the damage and provide assistance.

In addition to rescuing 719 victims, SEMA has distributed relief materials, including food, shelter, and clothing, to over 1,000 affected households. The agency has also provided medical care to those injured in the flood.

SEMA’s Director-General, Yabawa Kolo, stated that the agency is committed to supporting those affected by the flood and is working to ensure that they receive the necessary assistance to rebuild their lives.

The Borno State government has also pledged to support SEMA’s efforts, promising to provide additional resources to aid in the relief efforts.

The rescue and relief efforts by SEMA have brought hope to many affected by the flood, who are now beginning to rebuild their lives. As the state continues to recover from this disaster, SEMA’s dedication to supporting those in need is a testament to the power of resilience and community spirit.
