Controversy continues to trail the leadership of Alphonsus Ogar Eba Aka Okadigbo and the massive defeat witnessed by the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Cross River North at the recently concluded General elections.
Various groups within the party has continued to question the yardstick been used by the Committee set up by the APC to fish out party members who took part in anti party activities, when the State Chairman himself; (i) Lost all National Assembly elections in his Senatorial District (ii) Lost 5 out of 6 state Assembly seats and (iii) the Presidential election in Yala LGA his home.
Amidst several procured Votes of Confidence by Ogar Eba, he has failed to explain to the world why he lost the above-mentioned elections with all the money and security at his disposal.
A Chieftan of the Party who pleaded aninomity, stated thus “Our embattled Chairman should know that, bribing few members of his ward executives with motorcycles and little cash to sign an already written document and making the publicity Secretary of the party write a purported letter referencing an emergency exco meeting won’t save him”
“Yes, we won elections massively in the South and Central, but this was clearly not because of Ogar Eba because if party members used the Eba’s performance as a yardstick, the party would be in a sorry state by now”

Calls for the resignation of Ogar Eba as APC, Cross River State Chairman still looms as our sources in the party Headquarters Abuja, have disclosed the receipt of various petitions against Eba by party members from various parts of the state.
