Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has congratulated the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (the Ọjájá II) on his 50th birthday.
Extolling the virtues of Ooni, Kalu lauded the esteemed leadership he has brought to the traditional institution, saying that his dedication to tradition, culture and progress of the society has earned him a special place in the hearts of his people.
The Deputy Speaker also said that Ooni has continued to be a source of inspiration to many whom he has provided guidance and positive counsel.
Kalu also noted Ooni’s commitment to peace and security of the Nigerian polity, recalling the noble role he played during the unveiling of the Peace In South East Project (PISE-P), the Deputy Speaker’s intervention in the pursuit of peace and the security of the South East through non kinetic measures.
He prayed God to continue to bless the monarch with more wisdom and long life in good health.
