Nigeria Police Arrest 30 Protesters with Russian Flags, Accuse Them of Treasonable Felony

The Nigerian Police Force has arrested at least 30 protesters participating in the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria movement, accusing them of committing a treasonable felony offense by waving Russian flags in various states, including Kano and Kaduna.

According to the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, the suspects were arrested for carrying foreign flags, which is a criminal offense. One of the flag producers, Ahmed Bello, was also arrested in Kano with a large quantity of Russian flags.

Adejobi stated that the police are profiling Bello and searching for other sponsors of the protests. He questioned the true intentions of the protesters, wondering if they were still focused on the original goals of the movement or if it had been hijacked by external forces.

The police have arrested a total of 30 protesters with Russian flags, and Adejobi warned that the authorities will not tolerate any actions that could be perceived as treasonous or threatening to national security.
