Senate leadership removes Sen. Ndukwe as chief Whip

The Senate leadership has announced the removal of Sen. Ali Ndume as Senate chief Whip and replaced him with Sen. Mohammed Tahir Monguno.

This comes days after Ndukwe granted an explosive interview where he spoke on state of the nation as APC.

The Senate President, Senator Akpabio, during plenary today, read a letter from the national leadership of the ruling party, the APC. The letter requested Ndume to step down from his APC membership and consider joining a different opposition party of his preference.

The letter bore the signatures of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the national chairman of the party, and Barrister Ajibola Bashiru, the Secretary.
