The Kano state governor, HE abba Kabir Yusuf, has assented to the Kano Emirate bill.
The bill which was repealed, amended and passed today by the Kano House of Assembly, sought to reinstate the Kano Emirate leadership and sack the 5 Emirs appointed by former governor Ganduje.
The governor in a post on X, wrote “After signing the new Kano emirate council law at Government House, Kano, today. I hereby announce the reinstatement of HRH Muhammadu Sanusi II as the Emir of Kano State.”
