Kano Governor Swears-In 44 Care Taker Committee Chairmen For 3 Months

 

The Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has Inaugurated Interim management committee for the 44 local government areas of the state.

This follows the approval of the Committee by the Kano state House of Assembly.

The Governor while addressing the 44 Interim management committee told them that, their performance would determine whether their tenure would be renewed or otherwise.

Tenure expiration

Governor Yusuf said, in line with the constitution the caretaker committee had three months tenure expiration period of which their performance would determine the extension of tenure.

He reminded them that, the administration has zero tolerance for unruly behavior and warned the committee against bossy style of leadership saying that the government would ot hesitate to invoke sanction where they are found wanting.

According to him, “the committee members were carefully selected and constituted.”

Governor Yusuf said he is determined to return the state unto the path of progress and prosperity adding that, “Local government councils have important role to play in this journey.”

“You must embrace all and work hard to support our administration in fulfilling our campaign promises.

Exemplary conduct

“You should be leaders prepared to exhibit exemplary conduct.

This administration have zero tolerance towards unbecoming behaviour.”

We will maintain close vigilance on the conduct of each and everyone of you and will not hesitate to invoke sanction.

“In line with the constitution, your tenure is three months. And at the end of the three months and in conformity with your performance, will determine next line of action,” Governor said.

Many dignitaries and well wishers attended the swearing-in ceremony.
