C’River APC CRISIS: nobody can stop me from suspending party members, I’ll only give audience to President Tinubu and Natl. Chairman- Ogar Eba

The Cross River State Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alphonsus Ogar Eba, has reportedly berated the State Governor, H.E Sen. (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, while in an interview with “Theinvestigator media”, where he clearly stated that, it’s only H.E President Tinubu and the National Party Chairman who can call his attention or attempt to stop him from suspending his party members who are allegedly involved in anti party activities.

Eba who has been under intense pressure with calls by some members of the party for his resignation following a poor outcome in the 2023 General election and 2024 rerun election within his immediate Senatorial district and alleged misappropriation of campaign funds, in a move to show his powers as the chairman of the party, moved to suspend two ward chairman in Yala Local Government over allegations of their involvement in anti party activities even without Exercising the constitutional requirements of the party for suspension of party executives at any level.

The said statement in the interview, has been regarded as a spite in the face of the state governor who is the leader of the party in the state and at the South South geopolitical zone of the country.

According to a party stalwart  who pleaded anonymity,  “Okadigbo who claimed to be a humble and honest person, has in recent times, refused to be truthful and honest to himself, oh, what a pity!!!”

“We understand he’s highly pained for the fact that, he couldn’t return his girlfriend back to the State Assembly, as he boasted but that shouldn’t take away his sense of reasoning by berating the highly exulted office of the State Governor.”

“Okadigbo should bear in mind that, he’s first loyal to the State Governor before expressing such an epileptic respect and loyalty to the National Chairman and Mr. President.”

“Telling unfounded lies has become his stock in trade right from the moment his trials to resign his position in the party begun.”

“Ogar Eba should kindly and honourably resign his position and stop boasting over the same crime he’s guilty.”
