The CEO of the Don Alex Ajor Foundation (DAAF), Mr Don Alex Ajor Jnr, was on Saturday 2nd September, 2023 conferred with the Chieftaincy title of “UKPERE ENI 1” (The people’s helper) by the Bekwarra Traditional Rulers Council led by HRM Linus Ogbeche Odey, Paramount Ruler of Bekwarra LGA.
The conferment which took place at the Bekwarra New Yam Festival Celebration, was in recognition of the philanthropist’s kind gestures and his contribution to the growth and development of Bekwarra Local Government Area, through his Foundation.
Represented by MD, Sani Mohammed Isa, the awardee expressed his gratitude to the elders and good people of Bekwarra acknowledging his commitment and dedication to the cause of humanity. He further prayed for the grace of God to continue with the good work he has started in the Local Government Area and beyond, as he dedicates the title and honour to his late Father, Mr. Christopher Ajor.
Alex promised to continue giving his best, for the growth and interest of humanity at every given opportunity.
He also announced the award of scholarship to 100 pupils and students in primary and secondary schools in Bekwarra and a construction of a solar powered borehole at any location within the LGA as would be decided by the paramount ruler.
