Sen. Asuquo Ekpenyong Represents Senate President at African Church Abuja Diocese 2023 Harvest/ Thanksgiving Service

 

Senator Godswill Akpabio, has described his emergence as the President of the 10th Senate, as a call to service and unwavering commitment to all round transformation of the country, just as he called on the church to take its rightful place in the affairs of the country.

The Senate President, who was represented by Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, Cross River South Senatorial District described the Church as an important institution for mankind and humanity and as such must not be neglected. 

“The theme of today’s harvest; Church and Politics beckons on us to understand that the Church upholds its responsibility of serving as the moral compass of the nation and a reorientation platform for citizens. 

“Nigeria will only make meaningful progress when every stakeholder and key player participates in nation building.

The Thanksgiving Service which was well attended, was graced by the presence of the National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Most Reverend Daniel C. Okoh, Rivers State Gubernatorial Candidate in the 2023 General Elections, Mr. Tonye Cole, Secretary of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Barrister George Ekpungu amongst many other dignitaries.
