Ayambem Condoles Otu-Enyia over Wife’s Loss

 

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem has condoled the former Cross River State Commissioner of Aviation, Chief Jake Otu-Enyia, on the recent passing of his beloved wife, Mrs. Christy Otu Enyia. 

Accompanied by Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, along with Hon. Brian Odey, member representing Yala 1, and Hon. Bette Obi, member representing Boki 1 State Constituencies, respectively, on the condolence visit to Chief Jake Otu Enyia in his Calabar residence, the Speaker said the pain of losing a dear one, especially a wife and mother of your children cannot be quantified. He however admonished the former lawmaker to take solace in the scriptural understanding that ‘it is God Almighty who gives and takes.’

The Speaker emphasised the inevitability of death and the profound sense of loss that accompanies the passing of a loved one. He reminded Chief Otu-Enyia that his wife, Christy had departed to meet her creator and urged him to find strength in the memories they shared.

Chief Jake Otu Enyia, touched by the outpouring of support, emotively expressed gratitude for the Speaker’s kind and soothing words, while thanking the lawmakers and their entourage for the show of love at such a difficult time in his life and family.

He shared cherished memories of his late wife, highlighting her love, warmth, and contributions to the community development, emphasizing that she would forever be fondly remembered.
