Gakem, a community in Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State, erupted in ecstasy as Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, the Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, has facilitated the restoration of electricity to the community after ten years of living in darkness.
Senator Jarigbe, who was overwhelmingly re-elected by his constituents for a second term as Senator, noted that his resolve to restore electricity to Bekwarra LGA is in fulfillment of his promise to champion the people’s yearning and aspirations. He further charged the contractors to deliver quality work that will stand the test of time.
The project, facilitated by the lawmaker, is being handled by the Ministry of Niger Delta, and the Executive Team Managers have arrived in Gakem with equipment and have commenced work.
When completed, this project will resuscitate the paralyzed socioeconomic and commercial activities in Bekwarra Local Government Area.
