The director general of the cross river state primary health care development agency Deaconess Mrs. Abasioffiong Offiong has in her visit to the Executive Director Dr. Faisal Shuaib assured cross riverians that her visit was to strengthen the ties between the national agency and the state agency to ensure that we are not left behind as a state.
Speaking during the visit, the Executive Director Dr. Shuaib welcomed the director general to his office while commending her for her outstanding display of hard work and dedication which has resulted to her achieving a lot within a short period of time. “Cross River State I must commend is one of the few states that have been consistent in appointing hard working ladies who have been effective, result oriented and very committed to the health sector development of their state.
We’ll continue to work together in synergy and understanding as my office will always make sure what is due your state is sent to the state at the right time. I’ve listened to the challenges bothering your state and I want to assure you that we’ll put our heads together and procure a lasting solution amongst other supports.”
In her message of appreciation, Mrs Abasioffiong thanked on behalf of the state Governor Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade and the good people of cross river state Dr. Faisal Shuaib for granting her audience within a short notification. “We’re very grateful as a state for this audience and attention granted me, my governor Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade and his dear wife Dr. Linda Ayade sends their felicitations/appreciations.
I want to specially thank and appreciate you for all the support and prompt attention that has helped the state live up to expectations especially in the issue of vaccines and other supports we’ve gotten from the national level. We’ll continue to work in unity and synergy with a believe that the challenges bothering us as a state will be addressed as promised. Your administration has been great and your leadership prowess as well as achievements is one compared to none. We’re lucky to have you at the helm of affairs at this period.”
Dr. Faisal Shuaib is a public health specialist and medical doctor who led Nigeria’s campaign against Ebola and worked for nearly a decade on the fight against polio, including heading Nigeria’s efforts in the final years leading up to its successful eradication in August 2020.
