The Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, has distributed motorcycles to 54 Traditional Rulers in Cross River North Senatorial District.
Presenting the motorcycles, Senator Jarigbe, who was represented by his Constituency Officer, Mr. Egar Mgbantul, stated that “Senator Jarigbe has decided to present these motorcycles to you our Traditional Rulers to assist you move around in the discharge of your duties in your various communities “.
The lawmaker also noted that, the gesture was done in recognition of the status of the Traditional Institutions as the custodians of religion and culture as well as the vehicle of cohesion and peace in the society. He assured that he would continue to work with Traditional and Religious Leaders to ensure lasting peace and harmony in the Senatorial District.
The motorcycles were presented to 54 Traditional Rulers drawn from the 54 political wards across the five (5) Local Government Areas of the Senatorial District.
Commending the Lawmaker, His Highness, Chief Ade Abuo, expressed gratitude to Senator Jarigbe for unraveling the mystery associated with public offices. “ He has made us to understand and feel what democracy is all about”.
Also, His Royal Highness, Uti Okwor Olenyen of Utugwang North has expressed appreciation to the Senator, adding that “he is the face of true democracy “.
