In the course of engaging with critical party stakeholders across the state the acting APC Chairman James Alicha paid a courtesy call on high Chief Higgins Peters on Monday in calabar the state capital.
The acting Chairman said his confidence was reinforced in the party by the level of statesmanship and the character a true leader that was displayed in a trending social media interview that high Chief Higgins granted a leading social media outlet that was circulated on Sunday the 25th of February.
The acting Chairman called for support from all relevant party platforms and stakeholders to enable him and his team bring the APC in the state to a formidable and winning party that will bring back the confidence of all party members and stakeholders even as he and his team has a scheduled appointment with the National Secretariat of the party for briefing of the events in the state.
In his remark High Chief Higgins Peters congratulated the acting party chairman and charged him to reach out to all stakeholders and to make sure he build back the lost glory of the party.
Higgins Peters advised the acting chairman to learn from the mistakes of his predecessor that caused the party the spirit and grace the party enjoyed in the state through the arrogance and disrespect to all levels of party men and women including institutions of government.
Higgins Peters went further to call on the state government and all the security agencies to support the acting Chairman as he resume office.
He said the security agencies and the government should listen and support the yearning and action the people has taken democratically to restore the party.
