His Excellency, president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has expressed great disappointment at the current poor electricity generation state of the country.
President Tinubu had earlier said It was shameful that Nigeria still produces 4.5GW of electricity.
This statement was made during the inauguration of a 31-member economic coordination council, at the council chamber situated in the presidential villa.
“As a nation, It is so shameful that we are generating 4.5GW of electricity,” said president Tinubu.
He added, “We must increase our oil production to 2 million barrels per day within the next few months, and we are determined to remove all entry barriers to investments in the energy sector while enhancing competitiveness.”
