The traditional rulers of Ukelle, Yala LGA, cross River State, have congratulated the Member-elect representing Yala 2, State constituency in the Cross River state House of Assembly, Dr Martins Achadu
The message which was contained in a letter dated 30th March, 2023 signed by HRH, Ubet Ignatius Olem, the chairman of the council of “Ukelle Clan Heads forum” and HRH Ubiet Stephen reads;
“We the Chiefs Of Ukelle, Yala2 Constituency, hearty felicitate with Hon. Dr. Martins Achadu on your victory and received-certificate of return in the national elections to the CRS State House of Assembly which was held on the 18/03/2023 cum 30/03/23.”
“By this victory, Ukelle people have chosen you to represent all Ukelle Nation, irrespective of their political leaning or cultural affliction. We look forward to a rebust and outstanding representation that will justify the people’s faith in you.”
“We wish you God blesings, guidance and protections throughout your tenure. Many congratulations the chiefs stated.”
“Dr. ACHADU expressed his gratitude to the Ukelle Council of Chiefs and the entire Yala people for their overwhelming support during the elections and emphasized the importance of traditional institutions in the governance of the state.”
“He stated, “I am humbled by the mandate given to me by the good people of Yala2 Constituency Cross River State. I promise to do everything in my power to deliver on the promises I made during the campaign.”
“However, I am also mindful of the fact that traditional institutions play a crucial role in the governance of our state, and I am committed to working closely with the Ukelle and Yala paramount rulers to move our dear State forward.”
