CORRUPTION: Coalition calls on Tinubu to immediately sack FEDPOLYNAS rector, Dr Ahmed

Over alleged massive corruption, gross abuse of office, others

A coalition of some anti-corruption groups operating under the aegis of the Conference of Civil Society for Anti-corruption and Good Governance (COCAGG), has called on President Bola Tinubu to immediately sack the rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa,

Dr. Abdullahi Alhassan Ahmed, over alleged corruption and abuse of office.

The group also demanded that the embattled rector be immediately handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC for further investigation and possible prosecution.

“Our position is premised on the massive abnormalities discovered in the school during our cause of findings after receiving several complaints from some students and staff of the institution”, the group explained in a statement on Wednesday.

COCAGG, in the statement signed by its National Coordinator, Dr. Aminu Mohammed, alleged that “unimaginable abuse of office, fraud, and primitive acquisition of properties beyond the legitimate Income of the rector was discovered on a large scale.”

While alleging that the assets were acquired directly or through a proxy, the group vowed to prove its allegation against the rector “during the cause of further investigation when called upon.”

“This organization shall provide full evidence in human witness, pictures, videos, and documents to support its claim, “the statement read.
