Hon. . Godwin Offiono Empowers Farmers with Cash Grants, Agricultural Inputs

boost food production and cushion the effects of the economic downturn, Hon. Godwin Offiono, representing Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency, through the G & S Offiono Foundation, today June 4th, 2024, empowered farmers in his constituency.

In the pilot phase, twelve (12) farmers received a total of three million naira (N3m) in grants, along with agricultural hand sprayers and herbicides. This initiative follows the MP’s previous support for farmers, including mechanized farming training for women and youth, fertilizer distribution, and cash support, etc. 
The MP’s constituency officer, Dr. Raphael Oko, who represented him at the event, urged the farmers to utilize the resources effectively. 
G & S Offiono foundation was also unveiled. The foundation aims to partner with relevant stakeholders to address issues in agriculture, education, humanitarian services, security, and peace building, while the Offiono football academy will nurture talents in the sports sector.
Beneficiaries praised the MP’s initiative, promising optimal results.
