National Assembly members elected under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Cross River State, have Congratulated His Excellency, Gov. Prince Bassey Edet Otu of Cross River State on his recent victory at the Supreme Court.
Sen. Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, the Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Hon. Godwin Offiono, member representing Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency and Hon(Chief) Peter Akpanke, member representing Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku Federal Constituency in their seperate Congratulatory letters to the governor, urged him to maintain the high momentum he has thus far demonstrated for the benefit of Cross Riverians.

Sen. Jarigbe, charged him not to emulate the Past Governor’s style of politics against opposition party members.
Gov. Otu was declared winner of the March 18, 2023 governorship election in the state but his victory was challenged in court by Sen. Sandy Onor of PDP. The supreme Court however disagreed with the arguments of Onor and upheld his electoral victory.
Sen. Sandy Onor and the PDP had in separate letters also Congratulated the governor following the judgement of the supreme Court.
