Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Embarks on road construction along FCT-Nasarawa Boundary road, calls on Govt, others For support.

 

The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Nyanya Parish, Nasarawa State, has commenced the construction of a road which is situated along the Boundary between the Federal Capital Territory and Nasarawa State.

The road which links many commercial outlets, residents and religious establishments to the Abuja-Keffi Highway, has been in a deplorable state for decades.

Tired of waiting for attention on the road, the Church through its Minister in Charge, Rt. Rev. Dr Uche Dan Okafor, who also doubles as the Abuja Synod Moderator of the church, coordinated efforts from church members and well wishers to raise funds towards the road construction. 

While addressing newsmen following the commencement of work, Rt. Rev. Dr Uche Dan Okafor, stated that the church decided to embark on the construction project as part of its Cooperate Social Responsibility to the society.

“We approached other commercial and religious organizations with establishments on the said road but we didn’t receive any positive response so we decided to carryout the work to the best of our abilities”

Speaking further, he called on the government and other organizations to join hands with the Church in other to compliment its effort to ensuring completion of the full stretch of the road for the benefit of all.

Other members of the church and residents, also added their voices to the call for support towards the completion of the project.

The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Nyanya Parish is under the Abuja East Presbytery of Abuja Synod and the church auditorium is situated along Presbyterian Church Road, Mopol check point- Nyanya, Nasarawa State.
