Russia missle kills 48 in Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky said Thursday that a Russian strike on a grocery store in the eastern Ukraine region of Kharkiv had killed dozens of people.

“The brutal Russian crime of hitting an ordinary grocery store with a rocket is a completely deliberate terrorist attack.

“So far, more than 48 people have been reported dead,” Zelensky said in a statement on social media.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said Moscow’s mission is to create a “new world”.

He said this on Thursday, blaming Western hegemony for his almost 20-month offensive in Ukraine.

“We are tasked, essentially, with building a new world,” Putin said during the Valdai political forum in Russia.

Putin added that the West was aiming for global “hegemony”.
