The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, has been bestowed with the prestigious title of “Nton Aseh Amfam” (Chief of Politics) by the revered Traditional Leaders and the entire Nde community. It is the highest chieftaincy title ever granted to a political leader in the culturally-rich villages of the Nde Clan.
The “Nton Aseh Amfam” title holds immense significance within the Nde clan, signifying the apex of political leadership and dedication to the community. It is a title that is conferred only once in a lifetime, making it an exceptional honour for Speaker Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem.
Conferring the title the Clan Head of Nde, Nton Bassey Nsan, prayed that the gods of the land Continue to guide and lead their son as he serves the interest of the larger community.
